Riots that were pressing for the need of it and riots that were against the bifurcation— at the end of it all, India gets another new state. And the scene in Telangana is yet to gain a foothold and march further ahead. As of now it is not a very pretty picture as the government is in a chaotic situation.

‘Miss’ Jayalalitha— Jailed and Bailed:

Having been charged against the corruption charges—Jayalalitha’s arrest was the most coveted ‘miss’ of 2014. The incident broke the record under Modi’s new government. She spent 21 days in a central prison in Bangalore before Supreme Court gave her a respite in the form of a bail in disproportionate assets case. Despite all the chaos, Jayalalitha ensures her leadership remains unquestioned, and AIADMK remains a force to reckon with.
