# Increased speed and punctuality

Prabhu promised that from now on a better customer satisfaction will be provided in terms of train’s punctuality and the trains will run faster.

The speed of 9 railway corridors will be increased from the present 110 and 130 kmph to 160 and 200 kmph respectively so that inter-metro journeys like Delhi-Kolkata and Delhi-Mumbai can be accomplished overnight.

# No hike in fares

The foremost thing that a normal human being expects from the rail budget is no further increase in the fares.  Surely, it is a sigh of relief among the masses. It is surprising to note that before the Modi government came into existence, the fares were increased by 14.2 percent and freight rates by 6.5 percent.

But the present Rail Minister has not trodden the common man’s prospects by not hiking the fare. Looking forward for the development under Modi’s government, still there are chances of fall in prices in future.
