Satyam Kumar, the youngest ever candidate to crack the IIT-JEE, is not the only child prodigy from Bihar in recent years. Tathagat Avatar Tulsi, now 27, had shot into fame in the late 1990s by obtaining a Bachelor's degree from Patna University at the age of 10. At 22, he became the youngest ever teacher at IIT-Bombay when he joined as assistant teacher in 2010. Tulsi, who was called one of the seven gifted youngsters in the world by the Time magazine in 2003, went on to get B.Sc. (honours) and post-graduation degrees from Patna University at the age of 10 and 12 respectively.
