IBM To Provide Big Data, Analytics Solutions To Matrimony.Com


NEW DELHI: Technology giant IBM today said online matrimonial site Matrimony.Com is using its Big Data and Analytics technology to drive personalized marketing campaigns to match potential partners faster and attract more subscribers.

The tool will be implemented to all the 350 micro sites of Matrimony.Com frequented by over 3 million subscribers for getting real time insights from their customers, it said in a statement.

With the implementation of IBM's Experience One suite now, the online matrimony service can now deliver more personalized services to their subscribers, it added.

Paytm announces scholarships worth Rs 50 cr * M-commerce platform Paytm today announced scholarships worth Rs 50 crore in partnership with online distance education services portal EduKart.Com.

The firm will help students with scholarships worth Rs 50 crore and Paytm users who wish to pursue a degree, diploma or a certificate course available on EduKart.Com are eligible for scholarships worth Rs 25,000, it said in a statement.

Additionally, Paytm will give Paytm Cash up to Rs 5,000 to students on enrolment for any course, it added.

SAIF Partners provides seed funding to TouchTalent.Com * Venture capital and private equity firm SAIF Partners today said it along with 15 angel investors have infused about $700,000 (about Rs 4 crore) in the creative content community portal TouchTalent.Com.

Incepted in April 2012, Touch Talent is a community of creative individuals who create original and imaginative content, SAIF Partners said in a release.

"Impressed with the 30 percent month-on-month growth of the platform, SAIF Partners, along with 15 angel investors, has decided to invest around $ 7,00,000 in the company," it added.

The list of angels include Makemytrip founder Deep Kalra, Flipkart co-founders Sachin and Binny Bansal, co-Founder of Slide Share Amit Ranjan, and many other established investors and entrepreneurs from LetsVenture platform.

Vipul Group enters healthcare segment with MedHealth Cliniq * MedHealth Cliniq, a part of Vipul Group, has launched two initiatives --Medhealth card and Medhealth store, in the healthcare vertical.

While MedHealthstore.Com website will cater to various items including nutritional products and health monitoring equipment of different brands, the MedHealthCards will provide help customers avail free OPD services, discounted health check-ups and upto 25 percent discount at clinic, Medhealth Cliniq said in a statement.

"We seek to become a one stop solution for all health care products and services. And to provide this seamlessly, we have tied with over 150 clinics, 150 hospitals, 120 diagnostic centers, 200 pharmacies and 50 Spas and gymnasiums," Medhealth Cliniq CEO Sudhir Kumar said.
