He is prominently among the ultra-rich with a net worth of 84,000 crore and holds the 61st position in the world.

In 2000, he was voted among the 20 most powerful men in the world by the Asia week and he has twice been listed among the 100 most influential people by the TIME Magazine. Premji owns 75 percent of Wipro and also owns a private equity fund called PremjiInvest.

Premji may not be the richest in India, but he is the most generous Indian Billionaire according to the Hurun India ‘Philathropy’ List. A huge sum of 12, 316 crores of his personal foundation went into the Azim Premji’s foundation which is mainly engaged in giving to the bodies working for education.

Shiv Nadar, Chairman, HCL Technologies:

HCL Technologies Chairman, Shiv Nadar with net worth of 66,000 crore follows Premji in the list. Shiv Nadar is one ambitious intellectual who continues to inspire the young professionals in the country. Shiv Nadar’s newest venture is in health care: he has  set up HCL Avitas to build a chain of clinics in partnership with John Hopkins Medicine International. He recently denied that he was mulling selling out of HClL saying his daughter, Roshni, who's CEO of holding outfit HCLCorp, wants to keep the business.
