Most Infamous CEO Gaffes And Later Regretted

4. Evan Spiegel, Snapchat

Evan Spiegel is an American Internet entrepreneur who co-founded the mobile application Snapchat along with Reggie Brown and Robert Murphy. Besides, Evan is the CEO of the company.

In May 2014, Valleywag released a set of emails written by Spiegel during his undergraduate career to union members who were explicitly misogynistic and homophobic in nature.

Spiegel later apologized for his actions and attitude towards women at the time the emails were sent, stating, "I'm obviously mortified and embarrassed that my idiotic emails during my fraternity days were made public. I have no excuse. I'm sorry I wrote them at the time and I was jerk to have written them. They in no way reflect who I am today or my views towards women."

5. Chip Wilson, Lululemon

Chip Wilson is a Canadian businessman who has founded several retail apparel companies, most notably yoga-inspired athletic apparel company Lululemon Athletica.

In an interview on Bloomberg TV in 2013, Wilson said that some women's bodies could be to blame: "It's really about the rubbing through the thighs, how much pressure is there over a period of time," he said.

It’s not just once, he has made some rasping comments on birth control, racism, and recent comments, stating that some women's bodies "just actually don't work" for his company's pants.

The CEO later apologized to his staff members only, for making such comments.
