India's 10 Prosperous Cities, Delhi Tops the List

CHENNAI:

Tamil Nadu’s capital, Chennai, is the sixth most populous city in India. It is a hub of automobile, technology, hardware manufacturing, and healthcare industries. The intellectual base in many of the educational institutions in Tamil Nadu largely contributes to the city’s growth. Chennai has been consistently doing well for past three years. It continues to be in the top five in the list and has overtaken Bangalore this time.

HYDERABAD:

India’s fourth most populous city is ranked seventh in the list. The city has transformed itself into a cosmopolitan industrial service centre with the growth of IT-enabled services (ITeS), insurance, and financial institutions. Hyderabad has been highly competitive over the years and is now in a position to overtake India’s ‘Silicon City’— Bengaluru. Hyderabad’s development has been delayed for several reasons in the past but thanks to the good governance for letting it grow beyond limits.
