Companies With Huge Pay Gaps Between CEOs And Their Employees





Dollar General:

A discount retailer in the United States, Dollar General offers a wide range of merchandise, including fresh, seasonal, home products and apparel. Founded by J. L. Turner and Hurley Calister Turner Sr. in 1939 and headquartered in Goodlettsville, TN, the company mainly benefitted during the great recession of the past few years.

Presently, Rick Dreiling is serving as the CEO of this retail outlet. He earns around $7700 per hour whereas a retail worker makes about $7.70. This means he gets 1007 times more than his lowest employees.

Walmart:

Walmart is America's biggest retailer which was first opened in 1962 by Sam Walton in Rogers, Arkansas. As a national giant retailer that dominates  market, it estimates will be valued at $50 billion by 2020. This retail giant  spreads across 27 countries having 11,000 stores and is listed under 55 different names. These include, Walmex in Mexico, Asda in the UK, Seiyu in Japan, and Best Price in India.

Doug McMillon took over the position of CEO in February this year is now flourishing in his income. He gets paid 1,034 times more than the median Walmart worker, according to a new analysis by PayScale, a salary information website.
