Companies With Huge Pay Gaps Between CEOs And Their Employees




TJ Maxx:

A major clothes retailer in the United States, TJ Maxx which was founded in 1976 offers an ever-fresh array of fashionable, brand name family apparel, home fashions and other merchandise, such as beauty products. It is one of those store meant for people looking for a brand name but without a brand price tag.

TJ Maxx’s CEO Carol Meyrowitz who earns around $7260 an hour is also one such executives whose pay is much more than the median pay of the employees. This means Meyrowitz is earning 924 times more than her lowest employees.
Meyrowitz, helming her role as  CEO since 2007, started with the company as a buyer in 1983 and today she have taken the company to great heights attaining triple profits as compared to before.

Gap:

Founded in 1969 by Donald Fisher and Doris F. Fisher, Gap, is an American multinational clothing and accessories retailer. GAP, which also owns Banana Republic, Old Navy, Piperlime, Athleta, and Intermix, operates in more than 50 countries and employs 135,000 people around the world.

This is also one of the companies with the biggest wage gaps. CEO Glenn Murphy with a pay scale of $8200 per hour, earns 947 times more than the wage of Gap sales associates.
