Similar has been the state for India, and thus it’s interesting to know the probable trends the telecom industry will bestow to the nation in 2016.

Consolidation towards 5+1 network market

2015, witnessed the first consolidation in the telecom industry in India. The Idea Videocon deal worth 3310crore over 4G airwaves initiated the process. By the end of 2016, more such consolidations are expected to happen with the number shooting to 5 for private networks and 1 for public network. Expensive spectrum and depleting voice stand as base to the rise in number of telecom consolidations.
