Ford: The largest car manufacturer in the U.S, Ford spent over $2.50 billion to promote their latest cars last year. Their spending for ads has increased since 2012 and is expected to increase this year as well.

The larger sum of money on ads was spent for television with over $700 million for the medium. Its market is increasing around the world.

Procter and Gamble: By the end of 2013, P&G the most trusted brand for hygiene has over 5 billion customers around the world. This company has spent the highest amount of money for its advertisements, where nearly $3 billion was spent on television and magazine ads alone.

This is huge spending just to promote their brand but again it comes as no surprise since it is first choice of most people around the world. The brands image and the need to make it popular and familiar among the people apparently cost $5 billion.
