Sony is quite an old player in the wearable technology. The first smartwatch by the company is already on shelves. It has 1.3 inch OLED Display, Android Operating System, 10 m Bluetooth Connectivity, Music Player, Displays Messages and Emails, Social Networking Services, Access of Accepting and Rejecting Calls, Displays Pre-defined Messages, Notification through Vibration and Display, Calculator and more.

The next iteration of the smartwatch called as Sony Smartwatch 2 was released recently alongside Galaxy Gear at IFA.  The smartwatch has a 1.6-inch screen with 220x176ppi resolution and can last up to a week on a single charge. It can be paired with Android tablets and Smartphones via Bluetooth and NFC and comes with optional rubber and metallic straps. The smartWatch comes with support for answering calls, reading messages, checking social media updates, taking photos straight from the device, controlling presentations and music playback, adjusting volume and running mapping and fitness apps.
