Samsung's Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy Gear Up For Pre-Orders In India

Bangalore: Almost a fortnight since the unveiling, Samsung has started taking pre-orders for Galaxy Note 3 Phablet and Galaxy Gear Smartwatch in India. September 25 is the first phase of launch and India would be among the countries to get hold of the two new gadgets, promises the South Korean manufacturer.

Advance booking for Galaxy Note 3 for a price of 2,000 is available at Samsung India’s official online retail store. However the Samsung Galaxy Gear Smartwatch is not being offered as a standalone device and can only be purchased along with the Note 3. The pre-order for the combo device also costs 2000.

Even with the ongoing advanced bookings for the two devices, Samsung is yet to announce the official price for the devices. The expected price for the duo will stand approximately at 45,000 and 20,000.

On the specifications front, Note 3 comes with a 5.7-inch multi-touch screen, an 8 core 1.9GHz processor with 3GB RAM, 13MP camera, 3,200mAh battery and runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS. The device also comes with a new S Pen stylus with is equipped to perform an array of new, innovative features.
On the other hand, the Galaxy Gear Smartwatch comes with 1.6-inch Super AMOLED screen and 1.9MP camera and apart from displaying time, this watch is also capable of making calls, capturing images and videos, displaying messages and internet related updates. Presently, this device works only with Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Note 10.1 and in future it will also be made to support Galaxy s4 and Note II.
