George Soros: An Investment Prodigy

George Soros, born in August 12, 1930 in Hungary, is the Chairman and Founder of Soros Fund Management, incorporated in 1969. He is popularly known as "The Man Who Broke the Bank of England" because of his $1 billion investment profits earned in a single day, during the September 1992 Black Wednesday UK currency crisis.

As of March 12, 2012 Forbes listed Soros, as the 22nd wealthiest person in the world, with a net worth of $20 billion. Besides being a smart investor, Soros is also a kind hearted philanthropist. Since 1979, he has given away over $8 billion to human rights, public health, and education causes.
