Bill Gates is the former CEO of Microsoft. His contributions to the world of technology are great but his financial status is even greater. Ranked consistently among the richest people of the world, Gates’ home too suits his financial position. It has been commonly agreed upon that his house is truly one of a kind. His mansion is situated in Medina, Washington and overlooks the beautiful lake Washington. It is lovingly called ‘Xanadu’ by its inhabitants. It occupies 66,000 square feet of area. Xanadu has a Pacific lodge style of design. It was made under the supervision of architects, like - Cutler Anderson and Bohlin Cywinski Jackson. Being a tech giant, Gates’ home is tech-loaded too. A few distinct features of Xanadu are - pressure sensitive floors, auto-adjust lighting according to outside environment and visitors’ survey. Apart from being tech-loaded, Gates’ house has a very big library, about 2,100 square feet of area.
