Whats the opportunity?
The Indian IT industry has played a key role in putting India on the global map and is now envisioned to become a US$ 225 billion industry by 2020.
Over the past decade, the Indian IT-BPO sector has become the country’s premier growth engine, crossing significant milestones in terms of revenue growth, employment generation and value creation, in addition to becoming the global brand ambassador for India.

The Indian IT industry will add over 2.25 lakh employees in 2011 and will clock revenues of $71.7 billion by the end of the year.

Revenues from the information technology and business process outsourcing industry will reach $71.7 billion for 2011 and account for 5.8% of the country's GDP, the firm said in its Technology, Media and Telecommunications Predictions for 2011.

Hurdles of young graduates
As per NASSCOM survey, only 25% of graduates are readily employable.  Such a situation is forcing the the Indian outsourcing industry to spend almost $1 billion every year to train these graduates from various institutions, said a report published in The Economic Times.

It is clear that there is a huge gap between the existing skill sets of the students and the expectation from corporate. This may be due to many reasons, some of them being, lack of an updated curriculum and students having limited exposure to the industry.

Role of IT finishing schools
The role of Training Academy is immense in moulding the individuals for corporates. This is where companies like TTA are equipped to give the competitive edge for the students.
We at TTA are committed to deliver intensive training to the students to make them industry ready.

TTA offers training on technical courses that are mentioned below,

We also understand the importance of soft skills that are required for any individual to perform better in interviews. Intensive training on communication, Group discussion & Interview preparation is delivered free of cost for the students.
Weekly seminars are conducted by IT professionals to give the students an in-depth insight on the industry.

We are optimistic about the opportunities and the growth plans of the IT industry in India. Students should effectively utilise this opportunity by enhancing their skill sets to meet Industry standards.

Like i have already mentioned, IT finishing schools like TTA could be approached in this regard.
