Which Are The Most Hated Indian Cities?

Chennai takes the third spot in the list of most hated Indian city. The survey revealed that 18 percent hated the city the most for its ugly and untidy appearance. While, racism at 15 percent and offensive people at 14 percent were the other two reasons that respondents hate this south Indian city for. Corruption had 8 percent votes; traffic congestion had 11 percent votes, pollution - 9 percent votes and goondaism and crime – 6 percent votes. Inadequate mass transport system and work culture received 11 and 4 percent votes respectively. The city fared well on ‘attitude towards women’ with absolutely no votes being casted on this category. This indicates that the city is safe for women.

As per the 2011 census, the city had 4.68 million residents making it the sixth most populous city in the country. However the city is also known to be a major commercial, cultural, economic and educational center.
