#2 Andhra Pradesh: Tax Revenue: 3,23,400 crore ($54 billion): Andhra Pradesh has two major sectors to boost up its economy, the information and the biotechnology. It has well-developed social, physical and industrial infrastructure and connectivity on grounds of web technology.

AP is the first state to develop an Electronic Hardware Policy in India (2012-17), where the state government plans to set up more than 200 electronic clusters in the state. The state also boasts of a good agricultural activities and this sector contributes majorly in the revenues, and also ranks on top in terms of mineral wealth. Recently the state saw ‘Telangana’ forming out of it and becoming India’s 29th state.

#3 Uttar Pradesh: Tax Revenues: 2,96,400 crore ($50 billion): Hosting one of the Seven Wonders of the World, Uttar Pradesh relies on tourism to generate most part of its revenue of the state. Addition to this, the state is blessed with fruitful Gangetic plains and thus a blooming agricultural sector. UP has large number of small scale industrial units and even contributes towards making the railway boogies and also has one of the largest railway yards. Uttar Pradesh has well drafted policies for businesses under industrial and service sectors.
