Virtual Desktop Infrastructure: Two Sides of a Coin

5. Feature: Easy Management of Costs
Explanation: Because everything that is possibly required in a virtual desktop infrastructure resides within one data center the costs incurred in determining costs for hardware can be easily managed.
Advantage: For an organization having a VDI can solve a lot of purposes as it will save the clutter of several PC’s spread inside the organization. Installing a VDI will save them from this clutter and also give them  options like redundant power supply, high-performance storage, high bandwidth networking and all the users will be able to use the benefits equally.
The Other Side: The initial infrastructure set up is costly and cannot be acquired time and again. Also, when the entire company relies on one server there arises a possibility that if that server goes down all the users’ productivities will be hampered as they will be forced to wait until the error is fixed.
