1. China

China is the fastest growing economy in the world. The country witnessed a biggest jump in oil production.

The country’s petroleum industry was strongly affected by its growing population and political ideology in 1949.

China shared up to 5.46 per cent of total world oil production in 2012, with an annual crude oil production of 4.12 million barrels per day.
