At the event, the company demonstrated another innovation, Vanderpool. It had innovations for commuting, such as off-peak charging for electric vehicles.

Intel Virtualization (VT-x) was previously codenamed “Vanderpool.” It represents technology developed by Intel for virtualization on the x86 platform.

Vanderpool Technology (VT) lets the computer users to operate separate virtual environments in a single PC. The benefit of this technology is that separate operating systems can be run in the same PC without additional hardware.

In corporate environments, a user will be able to continue working on his computer without any interference, while another part of the computer system is getting uploaded or repaired

Intel released two models of Pentium 4 in the year 2005 as the first Intel processors to support VT-x. Till 2009 not processors supported VT-x, even the support varied between different versions of the same model number.
