These 4 Indian College Dropouts Have A 200 Crore Startup Dream


Innoz Technologies’ first product was SMSGYAN, a search engine for phones without internet, a patented push-back service application working through an algorithm. The platform helpes mobile phone users to send a SMS query to a particular number and get answer. The company to return a query with suitable response, relied on it servers that collected information from partner websites such as Wikipedia, Bing and Zomato to send back answers within seconds. Users can SMS their query either in English or in Hindi which was typed using English alphabets.

Innoz Technologies have Deepak Ravindran as CEO, Mohammed Hisamuddin as CIO, Ashwin Nath as CTO and Abhinav Sree as COO.  When Ravindran was asked about the moment which led to that ‘simple idea’ on which the company was founded, he said that, the four of them were hanging out at transit, a food chain, when Hisamuddin was trying to find meaning of a word and his mobile couldn’t connect to internet. “For us, that was a eureka moment. We sat together and thought we should do something to address this. And, Innoz happened," he said.
