He is the owner of the football club Shakhtar Donetsk. He had a long standing relationship with the former President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovich and was said to be influential in political decision making.He has been elected to the Ukranian Parliament twice. With his net worth $12.5 billion, he contributes 7 percent of his country’s GDP.

Stefan Persson: The richest man in Sweden and the 19th richest man in the world inherited the fashion retail company H&M from his father. He also holds significant stake in technology company Hexagon AB. This year he saw a rise in his personal wealth owing to the 25 percent rise in the stock price of H&M. He also heavily invests in real estate. His net worth is $34.4 billion and his contribution to Sweden’s GDP is 6 percent.
