The Indian Politicians Facing Serious Corruption Charges



A. Raja: Former Telecom Minister A Raja, accused in the 2G spectrum case, A. Raja is  the prime accused in the 2G spectrum scam worth 176,000 crore. This is the largest political corruption case in the Indian history and was followed by his resignation and a raid at his residence by the CBI.
Raja was involved in illegally undercharging mobile telephony companies for allocating licenses, which they would use to create 2G subscriptions for cell phones. He arranged the sale of the 2G spectrum licenses below their market value. The estimate to Raja's wealth is a big amount of 3,000 crore. His personal income increased from 11.47 lakh to 22.12 lakh from 2009 to 2010. Despite making so much money and his newly conquered wealth, he is confined within the walls of Tihar Jail.

B. S. Yeddyurappa:  Former Karnataka Chief Minister and the member of BJP is the main convict of the Bellary mining scam. He stepped down from his post after the Lokayukta Chief Justice Santosh. N .Hegde proved him as the major person behind this illegal mining. He is one such politician who has toiled for 40 years to bring BJP to power in Karnataka. Within his tenure of 14 months, his assets rose up to 1.82 Crores marking a 500 percent increase. Even his son and son in laws are involved in this mining scam. He had brought lands and donated money to trust which is worth more than 10 million.
