He is the Chairman of the Advisory Committee formed by the Ministry of Company Affairs etc. Birla was The Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2005 and was honored with other awards too.

Azim Premji is the Chairman of Wipro Limited a software industry. He is the third wealthiest man in India and 41st richest man in the world. In 2000 he was one of the 20 most powerful men in world according to Asiaweek. He was twice listed by Time magazine in the 100 most influential people. In 2005 he was honored with the Padma Bhushan for his work in trade and commerce and in 2011 he was awarded with Padma Vibhushan.
