Pak's Escalating Intrusions; Should India Move Past It Yet Again?

The latest attack shows that some section of Pakistan’s establishment is not interested to further improve ties with India. The problems between these two Asian countries are not something that can be solved militarily. The bilateral talks between India and Pakistan were practically hindered since January 8 when two Indian soldiers were killed, one of them beheaded. So, the PM declared that “it cannot be business as usual” with Pakistan anymore.

Arun Jaitley, Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha recently said, “Pakistan was a state living in denial, whether it was Kargil, the 26/11 attack or the beheading of an Indian soldier this January, and had long obliterated the line between non-state and state actors,” reported Business Standard. He also demanded the government to rework its foreign policy to send a clear message to Islamabad.

Further, the Manmohan Singh-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government should actually do something solid to protect the countrymen, if not; India will continuously face the wrath of such attacks in future, not only from Pakistan but from other nations too.
