Oprah Winfrey:
Oprah is an eminent American media proprietor, talk show host, producer, actress and philanthropist. She is well known for her self-titled, multi-award-winning talk show "The Oprah Winfrey Show" which was the highest-rated program of its kind. She has also been ranked the richest African-American of the 20th century, the greatest black philanthropist in American history. Oprah is also known to be one of the most influential women in the world.

Through ‘The Oprah Winfrey Foundation’, her private charity, Winfrey has awarded hundreds of grants to organizations that support the education and empowerment of women, children and families in the U.S. and around the world. Her philanthropic contributions include donating millions of dollars toward providing a better education for students who have merit but no resources.  She also created "The Oprah Winfrey Scholars Program," that gives scholarships to students determined to use their education to give back to their communities in the U.S. and overseas.
