Accused of being the architect of the 2002 Gujarat riots, Modi instantaneously became a figure to be hated. Over the years, as the Gujarat CM, he’s made great business deals for the state and helped the state progress, but more needs to be done to show that he is secular. It would be a while before the people can forget his image as the Controversial Gujarat Chief Minister.
