More Than 75 Pct of Chinese Hate India

The report said “Globally, perceptions of Chinese power have increased in recent years, and in nine of the 21 nations surveyed, majorities or pluralities now believe that China is the world’s leading economic power. The Chinese, however, still tend to see the U.S. as the global economic powerhouse”.

When checked with the Chinese how they would rate India’s economic growth, 44 percent see it as a good thing, however it’s a fall since 2010 when it was 60 percent. A depreciation of 16 percent is a blow on India’s global image. In the mean time the ones who believe India’s economic growth to be bad is twice this year than in 2010.  It has increased from 13 percent in 2010 to 25 percent in 2012. The New Delhi and Beijing relationship was seen as the only cooperative relation just by 33 percent of Chinese.

The reason for the negative shift in China’s image of India can be understood by the obstinate behavior on the boundary dispute in New Delhi. With the insufficient efforts to explain the Indian viewpoint and pacify the Chinese, by providing travel and cultural bondage is another reason for the enhanced hostility.

It has been observed that in most cultural festivals and film premiers which are organized by the Indian government in China, it receives very little attention and is attended by very few Chinese celebs because of bad promotion and circulation of passes and tickets. Weibo an Indian page is the Chinese version of Twitter and it barely gets any good number of hits when compared to the web pages uploaded by governments in other nations.
