Microsoft Persuading HTC To Cherish Windows Phones


Microsoft, which holds 3.7 percent share of the Smartphone OS market, is vying to gain more ground over Android and iOS, while former dominates with 79 percent and later with 13 percent of market share. It for this reason, the Redmond based company is even going on to an extent of asking HTC to regard its OS as a second option on the Smartphones.

The technical details on whether HTC would run Windows and Android at the same time, or let users choose a default is not yet revealed. 

Microsoft’s CEO Steve Ballmer and other executives have reportedly met with handset makers last week during a trip to Beijing and expressed that they want to partner with companies other than Nokia, to push their mobile platform to those who have previously only focused on Android.
