Norah Jones
Norah is the daughter of well-known Indian musician Ravi Shankar and she was given the birth name ‘Geetali’, by her father. The name which has the meaning “song" or "melodious" proved apt for her as she grew up embracing the musical world. This uniquely talented and elegantly beautiful musician has won Grammy awards nine times and was recognized as the 60th-best-selling music artist of the 2000–2009 decade by Billboard’s magazine. Her album ‘Come Away with me’ was widely accepted and created record selling of more than 20 million copies along with getting certified as diamond album.
Amitabh Ghosh
Amitabh Ghosh, an IITian from Kharagpur was a key member of the team who identified the landing site for ‘curiosity’, the Gale crater location.
Ghosh has played prominent role in various other missions by NASA such as Mars Pathfinder Mission and MER (Mars Exploration Rover) mission. He was the only Asian in the Pathfinder mission by NASA.
He has been honoured with NASA Mars Pathfinder Achievement Award in the year 1997 and the NASA Mars Exploration Rover Achievement Award in 2004, for his marvelous contributions.
