5. Thomas Alva Edison:
Thomas Alva Edison was an American inventor and businessman who developed many devices that greatly influenced life around the world, including the phonograph, the motion picture camera, and a practical electric light bulb. He was also called ‘The Wizard of Menlo Park’ and was one of the first inventors to apply the principles of mass production and large-scale teamwork to the process of invention and because of that, he is often credited with the creation of the first industrial research laboratory. But this great inventor was so much into his work and was so determined to prove America that DC system was inferior and that AC current was more dangerous. Over the course he murdered puppies to prove his point. Not just that, in Edison staged his highly publicized electrocution of an elephant in order to demonstrate the dangers of alternating current.
