Know the 'Horrible' Side of these 7 Renowned Geniuses

6. Isaac Newton:

Sir Isaac Newton was an English natural philosopher, generally regarded as the most original and influential theorist in the history of science. In addition to his invention of the theory of light and color, Newton transformed the structure of physical science with his three laws of motion and the law of universal gravitation. As the keystone of the scientific revolution of the 17th century, Newton's work combined the contributions of Copernicus, Kepler, Galileo, Descartes, and others into a new and powerful synthesis. All throughout his professional life, Isaac Newton had an ongoing feud with Robert Hooke who theorized the existence of gravity before Newton had done it.

7. Aristotle:

Aristotle was a Greek philosopher and a teacher of Alexander the Great. His writings cover many subjects, including physics, politics, government, ethics, biology, etc. Together with Plato and Socrates, Aristotle was one of the most important founding figures in Western philosophy. His life and work are still studied today, thousands of years after he introduced it. Aristotle is credited with being the mind behind some of our most enduring philosophical concepts, including basic freaking ethics. This influential thinker was believed to be a sexist when it comes to dealing with women matters.
He looked at the status of women in his own slaveholding class and wrote solemnly of how natural it is for a woman to lead a quiet, sedentary life, staying indoors to nurture children and preserve possessions acquired by her "natural ruler," man, who is well constituted for activities outside the home.
