Indian Manufactured Items Blacklisted in U.S. for Child Labour

The listing has not put a control lid on the export of these items, but it is a splatter on the integrity of the countries which appears on the list.

In the world, child labour is mostly used in the production of sugarcane, coffee and cotton. The annual list of goods released by the U.S. labour department, for the products manufactured in foreign countries, from last four years considers it a barrier for non-trade in exports, now the list covers 134 items under this obligation.
As per the Child Line India organization “Child labour is highest among lower classes, Muslims, and OBC children. The persistence of child labour is due to the inefficiency of the law, administrative system and because it benefits employers who can reduce general wage levels. Poverty and lack of social security are the main causes of child labour. The increasing gap between the rich and the poor, privatization of basic services and the neo-liberal economic policies are causes major sections of the population out of employment and without basic needs. This adversely affects children more than any other group”

It is considered by the U.N. department that the countries on the list are openly approving to the condition of child labour or forced labour at current stance.
