‘Rang De Basanti’ is an ultimate movie to remember on the eve of Independence Day.  Rang De Basanti, starring Amir Khan, Soha Ali Khan, Waheeda Rehman, Madhavan, Siddharth Narayan, Sharman Joshi, Atul Kulkarni , Kunal Kapoor and british actress alice Pattern in the lead, is one of the best patriotic movie of all time. Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra directed Rang De Basanti released in the year 2006 following the theme of patriotism. The whole movie was shot in and around Delhi. Music of the film was directed by A R Rehman and Prasoon Joshi.

This story is based upon five carefree youngsters and their transformation to passion-driven individuals who are determined to take revenge of a friend’s death. The movie portrays social issues and mainly dealt with corruption.

And, the movie starts with a British documentary filmmaker who flies to India to make a film on Indian freedom fighters based on her grandfather’s written diary. After coming to India, the filmmaker played by Alice Pattern asked these five youngsters to act in her film. The film took a sharp turn when these youngsters lost a dear friend in a fighter aircraft crash and the main reason behind the crash is due to government corruption.
