India's 1st HP Indigo W7200 Digital Press installed at KolorKode

Bangalore: Hewlett-Packard, a technology company in an effort to get an edge over the competition in imaging and printing industry in India, today introduced its 1st HP Indigo W7200 Digital offset press for the Indian Market. This digital printing machine was installed at KolorKode in Bangalore.

HP ventured into the printing business in the year 2005. Since then the company has revolutionized the printing sector in India by offering innovative technologies and products. KolorKode was established in 2008, and has been associated with HP since then. The company in a short time has evolved to become a one stop solution  provider in printing and communication.

Kayu Dhanbhoora, MD, KolorKode Digital Press, who was present at the press conference today, says “we enjoyed great success with the HP Indigo press 5500, installed in 2008, but we simply needed more capacity. With the installation of India’s first HP Indigo W7200 we will be able to take on larger volume runs and provide a faster alternative to offset printing”

Speaking at the occasion Puneet Chadha, Director, Graphic solution Business, HP-IPG spoke about the huge potential India has in the printing sector and the ample opportunities in coming years.  Commenting on this new digital press he said “We are elated to announce this new press, which is considered as a powerhouse of digital printing, and is also the fastest ever press from the HP Indigo portfolio”

The Indigo W7200 promises to be environment friendly and energy efficient, which can consequently cut down operational costs. The machine can print on various substrates from coated to uncoated to recycled papers as well.

Also present at the launch Steve Donegal, Director, Strategic Account Program, graphic solution business, HP APJ, said “HP Indigo W7200 Digital offset press being the first one in India will revolutionize the print industry with its robust productivity. It gives KolorKode the ability to address a wider range of long run jobs.”
