As a member of EC2 Network virtualization team, you'll have the opportunity to work with a stellar team to build a high speed, next-generation data pipeline for the EC2 Network. We build massively distributed systems in order to scale our network offerings to levels unheard of in most of the rest of the industry.”

That could mean that both Facebook and Amazon wants to explore existing proprietary controllers and other software components from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Big Switch Networks, Nuage Networks, VMware and several others, who were part of open-source code-development pool hosted by OpenDaylight Project inside the Linux Foundation, as gigaom reported last week. OpenDaylight's mission is to facilitate a community-led, industry-supported open source framework, including code and architecture, to accelerate and advance a common, robust Software-Defined Networking platform.
