FIFA World Cup: 5 Worst Fouls In Football History!

Rivaldo 2002 play-acting:

During Brazil's group match with Turkey in 2002 World cup, the Samba Boys were awarded a corner. With Brazilian forward Rivaldo demanding the ball, Hakan Unsal crossly kicked it towards him, hitting the Brazilian on the leg. Taking that as an opportunity, Rivaldo collapsed to the ground, holding his face as though he had been snipered by a masked gunman. What made it worse was the referee fell for it, sending off Unsal for his apparent offense. After a video review revelation, Rivaldo was fined by FIFA about $13,000. It is perhaps one of the worst displays of play-acting ever seen in World Cup.

Mauro Tassotti 1994:

Italian player Mauro Tassotti played just in one FIFA World Cup, the 1994 edition in the United States. In the 2–1 quarter-final win against Spain he elbowed Luis Enrique in the face in the second half's injury time, breaking his nose. The stroke was so severe that Enrique reportedly lost a pint of blood as it gushed down his face as a result. Although the referee did not award Spain a penalty and Italy won the match, only after reviewing the game, FIFA officials banned Tassotti for eight matches, effectively ending his international career.
