2. Assam Bomb Blasts

Assam known as a militant prone state, has frequent terrorist attacks.

The high intensity serial bomb blast that rocked the a north-eastern state of India,  on the noon of October 30th 2008 took away the lives of over 80 people and injured around 470 people.

It was reported that eighteen bombs were planted at many populous places in Guwahati, Barpeta Road, Bongaigaon and Kokrajhar. Several militant insurgency groups were under observation and investigations are still going on to catch the deadly people behind it.

3. Serial Blasts in Jaipur

Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan and the most popular tourist destination was targeted by the terrorists for the very first time on May 13th 2008. A series of nine synchronized bomb blasts went off consecutively near the historic monuments and it happened during the busiest time of the day. Fortunately, the tenth bomb planted was found and diffused successfully.  Within fifteen minutes, the whole city was totally chaotic and went awry as it created panic among the inhabitants.

Numerous units of police and Indian Paramilitary Forces were arranged all throughout the city.

During this tragic incident of serial bombing 63 people were killed and almost 216 people were injured. This act was carried out by a terrorist group called Indian Mujahideen and the militant group of Bangladesh known as the Harkat-Ul-Jihad-al-Islami is still under vigilance. The serial blasts shocked the entire nation and hence resulted in widespread condemnation from leaders all across the globe with many nations showing solidarity with India in its fight against terrorism.
