4. Peter Thiel

Peter Thiel is the co- founder and CEO of PayPal, which is an e-commerce business company. He is the first outside investor of Facebook with about 10.2 percent stake in 2004.

As of 2012, his net asset is worth was $1.5 billion. It was said that Peter Thiel had license to print money. He was very passionate about investing in strange, revolutionary technologies and other charitable cause.

5. Howard Hughes

The list of the most eccentric millionaires and billionaires would remain incomplete if we don’t include Howard Hughes. Since, he was born rich, we first invested huge amount of his money to movies and then into aviation.

He took up to designed his own aircraft and become a test pilot to it.  When he tried to experiment with the aircraft which he made, he ended up crashing into the hills. When he woke up from the accident, he became extremely ‘eccentric’ where he spent months together in a dark room, without bathing and relying only on chicken, chocolate bars and milk. In the year 1976, he died due to extreme obsessive and compulsive disorder and shriveled.
