Inland letter was the popular means of communication for the people of 80s and 90s. Unlike new age group, eighties people had enough time and patience for writing a letter and waiting for its replay. New generation brood may not even know what an Inland is? The advent of phones and emails have been eliminated the need of writing a letter.

Biscuits and chocolates are all time favorites of children. Back in eighties, the varieties of biscuits and chocolates might not be as many as there are today. However glucose biscuits were so much popular among children of those periods. The yellow and white lined pack with girl printed on it was the oldest brand in India.

The Amul girl

The Amul girl with white and black polka doted frock was a big hit during 1980s. Cartoon artist Kumar Morey and script writer Bharat Dabholkar was the creators of this advertisement. The ‘utterly butterly’ delicious Amul jokes gained more popularity and had a good place in newspapers as well. Amul butter and cheese with the caption "the taste of India" was the only cheese we had in India.
