‘Bari Bari Sabki Bari Abki Bari Atal Behari’ was a slogan coined by BJP for general elections in 1996. The party promoted Vajpayee by calling out the slogan and the campaign made a deep impact as he was well supported and respected by all leaders across the political spectrum as his name was the only uncorrupted one. Ultimately, the Congress government lost the elections to AB Vajpayee and for the first time, India was led by a BJP leader.
