After completing his Engineering and Management Degree, Vineet Nayar started his career with HCL technologies in 1985. He worked at different stages in the company as a Product management, Sales, and Marketing executive for seven years. Later on in 1994, he found ‘HCL Comnet’ to provide IT infrastructure and many networking services.

In 2005, Shiv Nadar the then Chairman and Founder  of  HCL technologies appointed Nayar as the president. He was successful in reshaping the organization with his 'Employee First, Customer Second' philosophy. In 2007, he became the CEO of company.

Rakesh Khurana is a Professor of Leadership Development in organisational behavior at Harvard Business School.

He has conducted research on many topics related to business and has written books on executive labor market. He has also written books and articles on drawbacks of a charismatic leadership. One such book was ‘searching for a Corporate Savior: The Irrational Quest for Charismatic CEOs’.
