Said No to Instagram to stay at Zynga
When the most hyped photo sharing application of the year, Instagram was taking shape, Amanda was offered a place on board as the first hire of the startup. As she was working as the lead engineer on the mobile team of Zynga, Amanda denied Kevin and Mike’s offer to stick to what she thought as a better cup of tea. “It was a great team fit, but I just couldn't get excited about a photo-sharing app. I felt, and I still feel, that I need to be working on more complicated things, so I've stayed in the games space...Of course, I'm kicking myself now,” says Amanda.
