Another bad approach from the CIO is that they tend to work and look upon things with a defensive set of mind. In the technology world that is so competitive, companies with defensive CIOs have a lot to pay. For instance think about the BYOD policy. Instead of innovating the idea, companies have simply set a policy that may end up as a threat to potential data leakage or data loss.
