One of the longest running ads of Asian Paints was the ‘Sunil Babu’. This ad gained popularity in a glance. The popularity of this ad can be estimated from the fact that during the time when this ad was getting broadcasted, most of the Indians used to use the tagline, ‘badhiya hai…’.
In this ad, Sunil Babu had a jealous neighbor who was equally sarcastic as well. Every day, when he used to pass Sunil Babu’s house, he used to pass a comment on every belongings of Sunil Babu.
The finishing words of the neighbor’s comment was ‘badhiya hai…’.
