6 Small Segments Cars To Look Out For In 2014

Hyundai Eon facelift: The Korean car maker is set for another face lift version but this time it’s from its entry level model the Eon. The small car which was developed specifically for the Indian auto market is well positioned below the Hyundai Santro and the i10 in its car line up. The Eon face lifted version which is already seen testing in Indian roads will soon be available to the consumers by this year end. Hyundai has given a new makeover to the face lifted version with new bumpers, lamps and grille but we don’t have much information about its engine displacement. In addition to this Hyundai also plans to come with a new brand campaign for its launch. The face lifted Eon is devised to compete with Maruti Alto and Datson Go, as it continues to improve its market share in small car and hatchback segments.

Tata Nano AMT, Facelift: The rumour that was surrounding the car market is finally true. Tata is coming out with the automatic version of the nano with the feature developed by Italy’s Magneti Marelli. The AMT feature by Marelli is known as the Nano F-Tronic, an electro-hydraulic mechanism that uses electronic control unit and a hydraulic system to supervise clutch usage and gear shifting, which allows the driver to shift gears without a clutch. With this technology the vehicle can deliver 15-20 percent more fuel efficiency over a conventional automatic transmission unit and is comparable to any normal manual transmission. The face lifted version will sport a smiling like front grille with sectioned headlights, U-Shaped lower bumper, functioning tailgate, new steering wheel and fresh interior trims.
