Jamsetji Tata

Organization: Tata Group of Companies.

He was known as Father of Indian Industry. He started his career by working in his father’s company until the age of 29, after which he setup a cotton mill in Nagpur. One of his major ideas incuded the Taj Mahal Hotel that was inaugurated in 1903. Tata group of companies is now identified as one of the largest private sector firms in the world.

T. V. Sundaram Iyengar

Organization:TV Sundaram Iyengar and sons Ltd group of companies.

He who started off as a lawyer, later quit his job and laid foundation to the first bus service in the city of madhurai which then carried on operating several buses and lorries. Madras Auto Service Ltd founded by him is noticed as one of the largest distributors of General Motors in 1950’s.

Venkat Rangan

He is an Indian computer scientist and is currently serving as the Vice Chancellor of the Amritha University. He received the President of India’s gold medal and is also noticed as a pioneer of research in Multimedia Systems.

Ramji H. Kamani

Organization: Kamani Engineering Corporation (KEC)

He who is an Indian entrepreneur and an industrialist was the first one to start electric power transmission in Asia. He was a pioneer in the railway electrification. His company also received an order from the Indian government to supply electric power transmissions to one of the major Bhakra Nangal Dam project.
