Pirates of the Caribbean
Pirates of the Caribbean could have been included among the Harry Potter series or Lord of the Rings trilogy, if Jerry Bruckheimer had let the movie go with the first three. Of course the critics were not big fans of the first three, but they were nothing short of cult classic among the cinema going mass. But this is not true with the fourth installment, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, of the series. From a financial perspective, this movie collected more than the first and the third movies but when we scrutinize this further, we can see that there was a giant drop in the domestic collection suggesting a less favorable reception from the hardcore fans of the series. Beyond doubt, if another sequel comes there will be a major drop in the international market as well as the latest installment was not up to the par with the original series.
