Paranormal Activity was an independent supernatural horror film made by first time director Oren Peli, with a negligible budget of $15000 in 2007. When the film finally got its wide release in 2009, it was nothing short of a phenomenon in the worldwide box office with a collection close to $200 million. The movie was slightly overrated but was still well received by the critics. In reality it was nothing but an experimental film that, with some blind luck, became a success. But the makers should have never even thought about a sequel, yet the film studio went for a second and is now coming with a third one. They not only managed to make an unworthy sequel but also managed to ruin the name of the first movie. One can only hope they will stop doing this.
